Condo Information Marina Sol E-303

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

Thank you for renting our condo, Marina Sol E-303.  Please print this sheet and take it Mexico with you. We take great pride in our unit and think it is one of the best at Marina Sol.  We would appreciate any feedback you may have after your stay.

Please note that this condo is not handicap accessible.  It is on the third floor of a three-story building and there is no elevator.  The occupancy limit for this condo is 6.  An exception can be made for an extra infant child.  The master bedroom has a king bed, the 2nd bedroom has a queen bed, and our enclosed patio/bonus room has 2 twin beds.

Check-in time is 4:00 and checkout time is 11:00 a.m.  If your airport shuttle is later, the concierge can watch your luggage, or you can check with Dinah to see if a later checkout is possible.  If you arrive after the concierge has gone home at 8:00 pm, the condo will be left open and the keys will be inside.  When you leave, please leave the keys on the coffee table.  If you accidentally take the keys with you, please mail or give them to me when you get back.

Our property manager, Dinah Briggs, employs the concierge at Marina Sol.  He has a desk in the main lobby.  Please check in upon arrival.  He will help you take your bags to the condo if you like. He should be able to help you with most of your questions and needs. If the concierge is not at the desk, go directly to the condo.  It will be open with the keys on the table.  You will find an information book in the condo with Dinah’s number as well as information on condo rules, restaurants, and tourist activities.  Dinah can be reached from the U.S. at 011-52-624-143-1653.  In Cabo, just dial 143-1653.  For emergencies only while in Cabo you can reach her on her local cell phone 044-624-147-5366

You will find the condo to be well equipped.  You will need to bring your own beach towels.  Please do not take the bath towels to the beach and pool.  There is a coin laundry located at the far end of D building if you need to wash clothes or beach towels during your stay.  The machines take U.S. Quarters.  The concierge has some if you need.  Do not hang towels or wet clothing from the balcony.  This is in violation of the condo rules.  We have a drying rack on the back patio.

The condo has 3 televisions, a VCR, a DVD player, and a mini-stereo that plays CD’s.  It is equipped with a water filtration system that dispenses from the small spigot at the kitchen sink.  The water from this spigot is safe to drink as well as make coffee.  The Icemaker in the freezer is also hooked up to the filtration system.

The condo will be clean upon your arrival, and cleaned upon your departure.  If you would like a mid-week maid service, there will be an additional charge of $21.  Stays over 7 days will include an additional maid service at no extra charge.

The phone number at the condo, (from the U.S.), is: 011-52-624-105-1344.  You can buy phone cards from the store and place the credit on the phone.  Long distance to the U.S. is about 40 cents a minute.  You can save some money by receiving calls at the condo rather than calling out.  We have a phone recorder you are welcome to turn on and use.  Please turn it off when leaving.  Some cell phones will work in Mexico.  Some won’t work in Mexico unless you make prior arrangements to activate it.  Ask you cell Phone Company before your vacation. To dial the U.S. from Mexico you must first dial 001 then the area code and phone number.

Due to its remote location, electricity in Cabo must be conserved.  Please, please, please turn off air conditioning when you are not in the condo.  We have installed upgraded air conditioning in the condo and it cools the unit VERY quickly.  Electricity in Cabo is also very expensive and can run up to $35 a day if air conditioning is run 24 hours a day.  You can help us keep your rental costs low by turning off lights and air conditioning whenever possible.

Airport transportation:  You will need to arrange airport shuttle, as the airport is about 30 miles out of town.  Taxi cabs are VERY expensive, ($90-$125).  We like to use Contactours.  They currently charge $30 per person, round trip.  E-mail them at contactours@prodigy.net.mx or call them at 011-52-624-143-2439 to make your reservation.  You should not need a rental car.  Rentals are expensive in Mexico, and they really stick it to you on taxes, fees, and insurance.  Our condo is just 2 blocks from the beach, and 2 blocks from downtown shopping and restaurants.

Payment Information:  We will hold a verbal reservation for you for 3 days.  Once you have confirmed your flights, a $200 deposit is required to confirm your reservation.  Full payment is due 2 weeks before your arrival.  Please send checks to:  Steven Dutra, 645 Benton Street, Santa Clara, CA, 95050.  Call me with any questions at 408-674-9008.  My e-mail is stevendutra@hotmail.com

Shopping:  There is a new City Club, (like a Costco), 3 blocks from the condo.  Go out the side gate between E and D buildings and go left, away from the beach.  They have one day memberships for one dollar.  There is also a large supermarket downtown about one block past El Squid Roe.
